Principal Attorney
The firm’s principal attorney, Nigel S. Scott, Esquire, began his legal training in the Delaware County Office of the Public Defender, where he represented low-income individuals charged with crimes. Nigel then continued his development as a trial lawyer, when he tried misdemeanors and minor felonies as a prosecutor in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. The combined experience allowed Nigel to gain valuable experience and insight into both perspectives across the aisle, as a defense attorney and later as a prosecutor.
Nigel’s litigation expertise is also reflected in his 13 years of service as a court appointed arbitrator for Pennsylvania’s First Judicial District. The combined experience has served Nigel well, making him a skilled and assured litigator, with a compassion and commitment to justice. The latter is born of his own immigrant experience, which serves as the impetus for his immigration practice today. Nigel sees himself in every one of his clients, and is committed to helping them legally obtain the same opportunities with which he has been blessed.
As part of our commitment to equal justice, our firm dedicates a minimum of 50 hours each year to pro bono service, with Nigel being named to Philadelphia, and the District of Columbia’s pro bono Honor Roll for each of the past 13 years. As a firm we are honored to continue in service to vulnerable communities
